The wind blows, everything is covered in elm seeds, it's hot one day and freezing cold the next, everyone's allergies are awful - must be (as we fondly say at our house) Springtime in the Rockies. On the bright side, that means the chile is planted and we're on a roll to harvest. August seems like a long way off, but at least we've taken the first steps down the chile road. Not much happening for the next few months now, but we'll let you know as things progress.
We still have plenty of chile, both red and green, from last summer's fantastic crop that we're eating every day, so getting a chile fix RIGHT NOW isn't an issue. We have what it takes for the perfect New Mexican fiesta or family dinners. In the Recipes section you'll find all the traditional, yummy dishes that were passed down to my friends from their grandmothers and mothers. No trendy stuff, just old fashioned New Mexican comfort food. You can even convert the non chile eaters in your life since we have everything from extra hot to mild.
I love being able to share the best New Mexican foods with you, thanks for letting me keep you in hot stuff!
